I have made this recipe before (and these are already listed on the Master List) but didn't have a blog post about it. This morning I made this recipe for "Buttermilk Waffles" which I got from Everyday Food magazine a couple years ago. These came out really well. I made them in my George Foreman G5 grill with the waffle plates. The George Foreman works really well as a waffle maker! I did not have any buttermilk in the house so I made this substitute using regular milk and white vinegar. I also brushed the waffle iron with bacon grease instead of oil. I am sure that helped make them extra good :) I didn't have any leftovers but if I did, I would have frozen them.
