Beef Stew Ole

Tonight I made this recipe for Beef Stew Ole in the crock pot. I found it in my Fix-It and Forget-It Cookbook. It was okay. I think it would have been much better if I had cooked it in my dutch oven in the oven, rather than in the crock pot. I really don't like any crock pot recipes besides spaghetti sauce. Everything else always comes out cooked to mush and tasting sort of like dog food from being so overcooked. I will probably try this recipe again in the oven.
