Wine-Braised Short Ribs from Cook's Country
I couldn't find this recipe available for free anywhere on line. However the recipe involved braising the ribs in a mixture of onions, tomato paste, flour, wine, broth, garlic and thyme. Braised around 3 hours. The details don't matter- as it wasn't very good. It came out disgustingly greasy, the kind of greasy that even when you drain it, the leftover sauce is just gross. And honestly the rib texture reminded me of a chuck roast that had been braised. I would rather just do a chuck roast which is a heck of a lot cheaper and not as greasy. I didn't love the flavor either. Won't make these again.
