Secret's in the Sauce Ribs

Tonight I made another recipe from my latest Taste of Home, and this was yet another flop. Tonight's recipe for "Secret's in the Sauce Ribs" wasn't even just a flop, but it was completely and totally disgusting. I am becoming quite frustrated with Taste of Home these days. They've made a lot of changes to their magazine, and now it seems even the recipes are going downhill. The ribs don't end up looking anything like the picture here. They end up swimming in a watery, greasy, flavorless sauce, and even though that is what they cooked in, the ribs themselves seem dry, chewy, and again flavorless. I really do not have good luck with any crockpot recipes. I only have maybe 3 crockpot recipes I actually like, one of them being spaghetti sauce.
