Tonight I made a recipe for "Buttery Garlic Cheese Biscuits". These were awesome. They reminded me a lot of Red Lobster's cheddar bay biscuits. I will definitely be making these again with a few changes.
2 c flour
2 T sugar
1 T baking powder
1 t salt
1 c milk
1/4 c shredded cheddar
3 T butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease 12 muffin cup tin or spray with non stick cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, mix together first 4 ingredients, then add milk and cheese. Stir until just combined then divide among 12 muffin cups.
3. Mix together melted butter and harlic, drizzle over biscuits. Bake until golden brown, about 15-20 mins. Serve hot.
Next time I would make nuke the minced garlic in a tiny bit of butter to take some of the bite out of the garlic. Then I would mix it straight into the batter, so that all the garlic wasn't sitting on top of the biscuit. I would still drizzle butter over the tops before baking. I also might sprinkle with some parsley. I also think these would be good with a little fresh grated parmesan or romano in them. Will definitely be making this again!
