While our friends were here we discussed the different methods of making brats. I usually parboil them in beer, then finish them on the grill. Another way of doing them is to grill them first, then finish them by boiling with beer and onions. Some people feel this makes them "juicier". While our friends were here we parboiled them in beer and onions, then grilled, and put some of them back in the beer/onion mixture. I'd have to say I still like my original method, and will probably stick with that.
For brats, I recommend Johnsonville Original Bratwurst.
