Beer Bread

BEER BREAD 

3 c. self-rising flour* 
*If you don't have self rising flour mix: 3 cups flour, 2 t baking powder, and 1/2 t salt

1 (12-oz.) beer of your choice

1/4 c. sugar 

approx 2 or 3 T butter, cut into pieces, optional

Stir together all ingredients; spoon dough into a lightly greased loaf pan (or sprayed with cooking spray). Scatter butter (if using) over top. Bake at 375° for 55 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.

Let cool. Slice and serve warm. Excellent with honey butter. You can use any 12 oz carbonated beverage of your choice.
