Chicken Kiev

Chicken Kiev
old Land O' Lakes recipe

2/3 cup Land O' Lakes Sweet Cream Butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
4 chicken breasts w/bone & skin
2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
1/4 cup white wine -or- apple juice
1 tsp basil leaves
1 tsp oregano leaves
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1/4 cup chopped parsley

Heat oven to 375°. Melt butter. Combine breadcrumbs, parmesan, basil, oregano, garlic salt and salt. Dip chicken breasts in melted butter, then coat with crumb mixture. Reserve remaining butter. Place chicken skin side up in a pan. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until chicken is fully cooked.) You can use boneless skinless chicken breasts and cook about 25 minutes. Meanwhile add wine or juice, green onion and parsley to reserved melted butter. When chicken is golden brown and fully cooked, our butter sauce over chicken and baked 3 to 5 minutes more. Serve with sauce spooned over chicken.
