Fry Sauce

This is from a cookbook entitled "Utah Pin Cookin': Green Jell-O, Fry Sauce, Mormon Muffin and Other Sacred Utah Recipes". I don't think you can buy the book on the internet, but here's an article, and another one, that mention the book. Anyway fry sauce is a big Utah thing; I had never heard of it before I moved there. Even McDonald's stores in Utah carry it. I knew it consisted of mayo & ketchup, but making it at home it always seemed blah and like something was missing. Well there was a recipe for fry sauce in the cookbook Diane gave me. I made it tonight and it was AWESOME.

"Hittin the Sauce, Utah Style"
Recipe by Artic Circle of Utah
(yields approx 1 1/4 cups of fry sauce)

1 cup of good quality mayonnaise *can use low-fat mayo
1/4 cup of quality ketchup
1 tbsp of sweet or dill pickle juice

Mix all together and dip fries into it. I used dill pickle juice and did not measure any of the ingredients. I probably used more pickle juice than the recipe calls for, but it was awesome. This would even be great spread on burgers and sandwiches! I will definitely be making this again.
