Soft & Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Yesterday I made "Soft & Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies" from the Cook's Country October/November 2010 issue. The cookies were neither soft, nor chewy! They were dry, crumbly, and didn't have great flavor. So disappointed. Won't be making these again.
