Green Bean Casserole with Crispy Shallots
This year I decided I wanted to make a green bean casserole. I never have made one before, but I cut out this recipe for Green Bean Casserole with Crispy Shallots from Ellie Krieger awhile back from Food Network magazine, and have been wanting to try it, so Thanksgiving seemed like the perfect time. This recipe was a ton of work and took quite awhile to assemble. Luckily I made it the day before, so that on Thanksgiving I just had to put it in the oven. No one really loved it, and I really did not care for the parmesan in it. It didn't call for much but you could definitely taste it. We will eat the leftovers of it but this is not something I would make again. Next time I'd do green beans w/ bacon or something along those lines.
