Pioneer Woman Au Gratin Potatoes

Yesterday I was watching an episode of Pioneer Woman on Food Network, and decided to try her recipe for Au Gratin potatoes. One version is a recipe on the Food Network website, and then another version is a recipe on her personal blog, which are slightly different. I kind of made a blend of both of the recipes, but I didn't measure anything, and I am sure I used more cheese than called for, also I used some cheddar cheese and some Dubliner cheese. So basically I rubbed a casserole dish with butter, threw together russet potatoes cut the way she says, mixed milk, heavy cream, flour, kosher salt, pepper, dash of tabasco, 2 minced garlic cloves, poured over the potatoes. Baked for 30 mins covered, 25 mins uncovered, then topped with the cheeses, baked 5 mins more, then topped with sliced green onions. The potatoes were really incredible. I will definitely make them again! These would definitely be great for a crowd!
